Incentives for Urban Rehabilitation
Portuguese Government will have to take measures to stimulate part of the 600 thousand unemployed in the country to accept jobs in urban rehabilitation work sector, has been published by “Diário de Notícias”. This program is being articulated with the Confederação da Indústria Portuguesa (CIP) and the Associação de Empresas de Construção e Obras Públicas (Aecops).
The Government is negotiating with CIP and Aecops a program intended to stimulate part of the 600 thousand unemployed in Portugal, to accept a job in urban rehabilitation projects.
According to what “Diário de Notícias” has published, the Minister of Economic Affairs, Vieira da Silva, the State Secretary of Public Work, Paulo Campos, the State Secretary of Territorial Reordering, Fernanda Carmo have already have a first meeting with CIPC, Aecops and Instituto do emprego e da Formação Profissional (IEFP) to define the support measures to the companies and unemployed involved. A negotiation is also being developed by labor unions.
